Travis has been in love with sports ever since he was a child. Growing up in the South bronx, Travis could often be found at the park playing multiple sports. Whether it was swinging a bat, or throwing a ball, his love for sports was evident amongst those around him.
He began participating in competitive sports at the age of 10. Upon entering High School, he decided to devote his time solely to playing basketball. Through hard work and dedication, Travis was able to make the Varsity Basketball team as a Freshman. By his senior year, he would lead his High School team in scoring and rebounding, and eventually accepted a recruitment offer to Farmingdale State College. Due to injury early in his career, Travis decided to transfer to Oneonta state, where he would finish the rest of his collegiate career. While there, he earned a degree in sociology with a concentration in childhood education. Although his college career may have been over, his love to teach sports to children began to blossom.
After graduating, he would go on to work for an enrichment center where his career in teaching sports to children would begin. In September 2014, Travis joined the Fastbreak team as a Head Coach, where he is currently coaching children Ages 2-High School. His outgoing personality and endless energy make the toddler Multi-Sport classes that he teaches a blast for every child and his knowledge and passion for basketball is evident in every instructional basketball class that he coaches.
His love for children can be seen, and felt from a mile away. He believes that every child deserves the opportunity to fall in love with a sport. But most importantly, creating a unique, and stimulating environment where children can succeed, and have fun.
